【National Taiwan Normal University Main Library - Reference and Outreach Services Division】Recruiting Part-time Long-term Student Workers for the Second-Floor Counter
Job Title: Part-time Student Worker Work Location: Main Library, Heping Campus II, NTNU (No. 129, Sec. 1, Heping East Road, Da’an District, Taipei). Number of Openings: 2 positions, with 2 alternates. Salary: Hourly wage of NT$190 (in accordance with the 2024 minimum wage announced by the Ministry of Labor), inclusive of labor insurance and pension contributions.
Work Hours
- Shift-based system, 8-9 hours per shift.
- Approximately 2-3 workdays per week, with a monthly total of 76-100 hours.
- Must be available for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, coordinated with other student workers.
Shift Periods
- Monday to Friday: 12:00-21:00 (break from 16:00-17:00; highest demand periods: 12:00-13:30 and 17:00-21:00).
- Saturday and Sunday: 09:00-17:00 (break from 12:00-13:00).
Employment Period
- Employment starts from February 1, 2025, with a three-month probation period. Continued employment is contingent upon passing the probation evaluation.
- A 20-hour training session will be held in January 2025, with payment included in February’s salary.
Eligibility Requirements
- Currently enrolled students at a higher education institution (recognized by the Ministry of Education), including international students.
- Proficient in computer-based office tools and English ability of listening, speaking, reading, writing.
- Punctual, responsible, polite, service-oriented, eager to learn, attentive, and patient.
- Preference given to candidates available for long-term employment (minimum one year).
- Ideal for students with fewer credits, no external commitments, or thesis-only obligations.
- Must be able to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts at the second-floor counter of the Main Library.
Job Responsibilities
- Managing second-floor counter operations (e.g., handling audiovisual materials/research/group study room bookings, responding to reader inquiries).
- Organizing and shelving audiovisual materials and Lexile English teaching resources.
- Assisting with other tasks as assigned.
